The flying head that shouts yeeahhhh always cracks me up, I find myself doing that on the drive home every single time 😂

It might be bold but if they just did the necessary TLC and refreshed DUEL for this year I would have preferred that. Unpopular opinion but the curse at Alton Manor doesn't flow the best, not really the best way of going about effects, some scenes look good, then others are static, sometimes pitch black for 30 seconds! The audio also needs some work on curse, its too overwhelming and I think thats what made it less scary, because it was so loud you don't really hear the jumpscare noises that made DUEL. Also the first scene about where you enter the tunnel now looks very odd i have to say, the theming that was on it before looked fantastic, shame really, but aside from that curse is not the worst, maybe if they made the trains turn on the mirror effect scene it'd be alot better because people can't really turn their heads 90 degrees without even knowing that scene exists.

Went on this last year and my brain just exploded from how trippy this was

The idea behind a ride like this is pretty simply but must have been a logistical nightmare to pull off. Youve got to have the ride swing in perfect sync with relative rotation of the room at the appropriate height and speed (otherwise the illusion wont work and people will get motion sickness) whilst to the rythym of the music....

I went on this and it confused the actual shit out of me because it felt like the seats were actually moving

The simplicity of a rocking ride inside a spinning room with lap bars to aid the trick is so cool and a fantastic effect - my 4yr old loved this as it really hyped his imagination

This traumatised me as a kid and I haven’t been near it since... but my stupid ass is returning in a month to ride as an adult 😂

I got stuck on this ride before for 20 mins it was horrible being stuck in the dark for that lmao at least the people in front of us got near a light so lucky for them

This looks like a pretty good ride. I wonder how those spinning bats look in the normal performance lighting....maybe with a strobe light effect that could be very cool.

brilliant ride

I got stuck at the demon part

I got stuck on this ride.... my friends were freaking out... I was getting some extra points.

I went on this years ago, and had memories of the now long gone Thunderlooper at Alton Towers. This looping rollercoaster had just a rubbish little bar that loosely fell across your lap, only leaving centrifugal force to keep you in your seat. So, Hex's more solid lap bar in place, I genuinely believed that Alton Towers had absolutely no qualms about dangling their customers by a bar. The first time I went on Hex, I subsequently braced myself like a sailor in a crowsnest during a hurricane. I leaned so hard into the bar, that I managed to really hurt my hip. I was absolutely shaking afterwards along with half my friends. Only after learning the secret did I work out if I just relax, then the ride was disorienting, but totally painless. Recently, I took my son on it. He was just unimpressed, and had guessed the mechanism immediately. Its a marmite ride.

It doesn't actually go upside down or swing that far back and forth. Just the room that spins upside down not the chairs.

I swear they took out the whole "outside" scene when I went. The man and carriage were placed clearly against the wall and everything just seemed black, like all the textures were gone. Maybe I was paying too much attention to all the lights everywhere

The best ride there in my opinion

especially the start where you had to walk to get to your cart there was a book flipping pages and a little girl

also i didnt get a score neither did my mum since she was holding me all the time i feel bad for that...

all i did was cry, squeeze my mum and close my eyes and try to block out the noise so i hardly saw anything
